As writers or bloggers, we all know how frustrating it can be to get writer’s block. You stare at a blank piece of paper trying to figure out what to write. Almost as if you have all of these thoughts, but nothing seems to come to mind.
Leaving you stuck and annoyed because you have no clue on what to do next. You start to think if you do not find a cure soon, that you will never get your article done. Making you want to quit and your work never reaching the masses you hoped. So if this sounds like you, then continue to read along as I share my tips on how I overcome writer’s block.
Writer's block tip 1: DO NOT OVERTHINK
Sometimes being a writer or content creator, it can be difficult when it comes to this.
As a writer, I often find myself overthinking things because I am very self-critical of myself. Which unfortunately is not always a good thing because I get more frustrated, making me less inclined to write my piece. So remember to do not overthink things and most importantly do not, be your own worst enemy.
tip 2: TAKE A BREAK
Taking a break is a great way to gather some new thoughts and ideas.
Even if you have the urge to stay, sometimes walking away is best. So while you are taking a break, do other things to distract you. Whether you, read a book, cook some food or watch tv, find something to distract your mind. Because when you least expect it, you might think of something great.
tip 3: STAY POSITIVE
Getting writer’s block is a common thing amongst writers. So do not feel bad or sad if you get stuck.
Life is about learning and growing from your experiences. So always remember to stay positive and never quit. Inspiration can come at any moment so definitely be ready for it!
